Tips for Keeping Critters Away

  • Irish Spring Soap or Lifebuoy soap

  • Diluted Tabasco sauce or cayenne pepper: boiled with water- spray on plants

  • Murphy's Oil soap: 1/4 cup to 1 gallon of water- spray on plants

  • 1 quart water/1 egg/1 tsp. Szechuan hot oil​​

(All of these must be reapplied after rain or overhead watering)

  • Whirligig yard ornaments

  • Fencing: 6 feet or higher

  • BIG LOUD DOG

  • Bobbex~ Liquid Fence & many other commercial sprays (don't have to be sprayed as often, but may need to be alternated as deer develop a tolerance for it)

 

There are no guarantees to repelling animals, but these solutions will help increase your odds. Experiment to find out what works best for you!
